Faculty Bios

Patrick Quagliano (Adler Technique & Scene Study)

Mr. Quagliano is an actor and teacher who began studying acting at the Stella Adler Studio. As a teacher he apprenticed under Ron Burrus in New York City, who he is proud to have as a great friend and mentor. Patrick's theatrical credits are extensive, including productions both in New York and London. He furthered his training at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and is currently the Academy's United States representative. Mr. Quagliano is also a founding member of the London Theatre Exchange.

Andrew Wade (The Voice & Speech of Shakespeare)

Andrew Wade has been Head of Voice at the Royal Shakespeare Company since 1990. He joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1987 as Assistant Voice Director to Cicely Berry. His responsibility involves overseeing the voice work in the RST, The Swan and The Other Place theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Barbican and The Pit theatres in London.

Andrew has a particular interest in exploring language practically, which he fulfils by working with youngsters, students, teachers and academics, through the RSC Education Department, the Shakespeare Institute (Birmingham University) and the Shakespeare Centre.

Andrew trained at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama from 1973 to 1976. He has worked in many different drama schools including Mountview Theatre School, the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama, the Arts Educational School and was Head of Voice at East 15 Acting School. From 1993 - 1997 he was the External Examiner for the Postgraduate Diploma in Voice Studies and the M.A. in Voice Studies at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
